Koy IDE 2 is out, and Koy Agents is here
Updated Oct 16, 2026: Koy Agents has reached 1.0 — it is out of beta, with KOY Pro on sale. See Koy Agents 1.0 is out. This post was first published on Oct 12, 2026.
Today we are shipping two things: Koy IDE 2, a new version of our AI-native IDE, and the first beta of Koy Agents, our app for people who want agents to do their routine work without writing code. Both are free to download for macOS.
Koy IDE 2: smaller, faster, one team
Koy IDE 2 is a new, smaller app. It uses your system's web view instead of a bundled browser, so the download is about 20 MB. The afliz command now works in Koy's own terminals without Node.js, and the agents work as one team — each with one job and its own files.
Koy IDE 2 is a separate app with its own data folder. Pricing: free to start, and KOY Pro at $10 per user per month — the same subscription unlocks Koy Agents too. Teams of six or more can contact sales about Enterprise.
Koy Agents: the beta
Koy Agents puts your agents, workflows and schedules on one map. Start from a template such as Researcher or Web Monitor, put it on a schedule, and review what it does: every result waits in a sandbox until you pass it, ask for a redo or discard it. Your reviews become preferences and checks the agent keeps, and a trust ladder lets it do more on its own once it has earned it.
In the beta, agents read the web pages you name through a read-only Browser app. Your Assistant keeps reminders and a daily plan in the dock, and there is a command line and an SDK if you want to run agents from a terminal or your own code. The app updates itself when a new version is out. Koy Agents is free while in beta.
Agents that do the work — and wait for your approval.
What is next
Windows and Linux versions of both apps are coming, and Koy Agents will gain more app connections — email, files and social — in later versions. Download Koy IDE 2 or Koy Agents, or get notified when your platform is ready.
